At the Design Council Sara manages a team of government relations specialists who work across Westminster and Whitehall to raise the profile of the Design Council and of the role that design plays in improving economic performance. An experienced political communications specialist with extensive public affairs knowledge, Sara has worked with business, central government and the public sector.
Before joining the Design Council, Sara was an Account Director at a leading lobby firm, handling clients from the private and public sectors. Prior to this she worked as a special adviser at 10 Downing Street to former Prime Minister Rt Hon Tony Blair MP and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP and as a press officer at Labour Party HQ.
