Andy Altmann confirmed as our next take 5 speaker
Following the sell-out success of our first take 5 talk with Morag Myerscough, we’re delighted to be able to announce that Andy Altmann will be joining us for the next event in this series on Thursday 27 March.
Andy studied graphic design, and co-founded why not associates with two fellow graduates when they left the Royal College of Art in 1987. His portfolio is astonishingly diverse, from the miniature (stamps) to the massive (Blackpool's Comedy Carpet with artist Gordon Young). But regardless of its scale, all of Andy's work has two consistent ingredients: some of the best typography around and a cheeky sense of humour!
Our take 5 talks offer a wonderful opportunity to open up an informal conversation with an inspiring designer. The format is simple. We invite a designer to the Design Council to share five insights with the audience. Then we open things up to the audience, who can ask five questions. Tickets cost just £5. And after the event we’ll release a five minute edit of the audio. The talk takes place on the last Thursday of every other month.
This event has now passed. If you missed out then have a listen to Andy's talk and book your place at the next take 5.
