Meet our Future Pioneers 2014 winners
Head down to Designersblock: Edition 17 at the Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell to meet the latest winners of our Future Pioneers award.
Future Pioneers celebrates and nurtures emerging designers who are principled, passionate and purposeful and is run in partnership with the UK's largest exhibition for design graduates, New Designers.
The 2014 winners' designs include a first-aid kit that can be administered with one hand, and a reimagined internet with user privacy at its heart.
Active by Design Summit
Physical inactivity costs the UK economy approximately £20bn and leads to around 37,000 premature deaths a year. The problem is vast, however we believe that good design can make active lifestyles more attractive and accessible, helping people to live fitter, healthier lives.
Come together with other designers, built environment professionals and public health specialists for this day of inspiring talks by experts leading the way in the Active by Design revolution.
Speakers include Simon Allford – Director, AHMM; Mandy Ayres – Senior Director Access to Sport, Nike; Sam Hill – Co-founder, PAN Studio; Tom Lloyd – Director, PearsonLloyd; Riccardo Marini – Director, Gehl Architects; Caroline Russell – Green Party Councillor, Islington Council.
