Design Council presents Designing our Future at New Designers Part 2.

New Designers Part 2 showcases over 1,500 of the UK's most promising design graduates from the disciplines of product, industrial, visual and spatial design. The exhibition takes place at Business Design Centre in London from 1-4 July.

Design Council will there on 2 July presenting a series of talks examining the future of design and the skills that designers will need to compete. These will be informed by our recent research publication, Designing our Future. The programme includes:

• 10.30am -11.30am: The Seven Skills of The Future Designer with Bel Reed, Education Lead, Design Council and Sevra Davis, RSA Student Design Awards, RSA
• 11.30am - 12.30pm: Designing our Future - featuring Design Council's Ones to Watch and hosted by Katie Treggiden author of Confessions of a Design Geek
• 3.00pm - 3.45pm: Designing our Future - tutors discussion
• 6.00pm - 8.00pm: KTN Thursday Late - Industry meets New Designers: the value of design in innovation, and how to combine creativity with commercial success. Speakers include: John Mathers, CEO, Design Council; Matthew Candy, European Leader, IBM Interactive Experience; and Chris Warkup, CEO, KTN

Design Council followers can purchase day tickets in advance for just £9.50* instead of £15.00 on the door.
