Explore the science of imagination at Design Manchester 14

Design Manchester, a ten-day festival of design and the creative arts, kicks off today and we’ll be there this year hosting a special take 5 talk with design icon, Ben Casey.

Now in its second year, the theme of this year’s festival is “the science of imagination".  Running from 21 – 30 October, DM14 features a broad and exciting range of events from exhibitions, talks and workshops to a music-and-movies concert, a Town Hall conference with leading designers, a transatlantic Coderdojo for school kids and a debate about how the creative industry can help to build the northern tiger economy.

10x10 In Process

10x10 is the product of Manchester’s creative community, which sees local artists and designers collaborate with creatives from varying disciplines. Each unusual partnership culminates in innovative and imaginative works.

An all-day conference at Manchester Town Hall on 24 October, hosted by Prof David Crow of Manchester School of Art, Manchester design icon now Royal Designer Malcolm Garrett and DesignWeek editor Angus Montgomery.

​We take our popular take 5 series on the road and put design icon and co-founder of creative agency The Chase, Ben Casey, in the spotlight.  The format is simple - 5 insights: 5 minutes each, 5 questions from the audience. And tickets cost just £5 (including a free drink).
