Launching the Greenwich Design Review Panel

Commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, we are launching an expert independent Cabe Design Review Panel to review significant projects in Greenwich, London.

The Greenwich Design Review Panel (GDRP) will understand the challenges and opportunities across regeneration, housing and development within the borough and reflect their advice during Design Reviews and workshops.

Design Council Cabe have convened the GDRP on behalf of the council, with Paul Finch appointed as Chair, supported by Ken Shuttleworth and Alex Lifschutz as Vice Chairs. The panellists have been selected for their expertise in a range of built environment disciplines and represent a unique mix of nationally recognised expertise and local understanding.

We want to see building design of the absolute highest standards here in Greenwich - that’s why we’ve entered into this partnership with Cabe.

"These are exciting times for the borough – we have an extensive and ambitious programme of regeneration underway and we are anticipating a number of major planning applications in the coming months. We want to see building design of the absolute highest standards here in Greenwich, complementing the fantastic architecture both old and new that we already boast. That’s why we’ve entered into this partnership with Cabe which will ensure building designs being proposed in the borough will be reviewed by world-renowned experts."

Home of Greenwich Mean Time and a host of the London 2012 Olympics, the borough has shown a natural evolution of its built environment, complementing new build with its rich heritage and historical environment.
