London Festival of Architecture: Community-led design
Overview
What is community-led housing? How does it come about and what is currently happening in the sector? Join us at Design Council HQ on Tuesday 21 June at the London Festival of Architecture to hear from those who are involving the community to bring a range of housing projects to fruition across the country.
As part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture, and in response to the 2016 theme of ‘Community’, Design Council Cabe will be exploring the significance of community-led design and development.
On Tuesday 21 June we'll be joined by an inspiring group of guest speakers and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of designing and managing your own housing development in London. The event will feature our own Community-led Design and Development programme, as well as Kareem Dayes from Rural Urban Synthesis Society, Rachel Bagenal of Naked House Community Builders and Alexandra Steed and Edward Denison from Mount Pleasant Association.
With the opportunity for guests to put their questions to the panel, this promises to be a lively and informative event for both those involved, and interested in, community-led design and development.
