Our Leading Business by Design series is now free to download

With the government seeking to better stimulate innovation and support business-led growth across the country to rebalance the economy, Design Council is releasing full digital versions of our Leading Business by Design series.

Leading Business by Design is our research series looking at the evolving role of design in some of the world's leading businesses. The series contains four publications, all now available to download in their entirety for free:

• Leading Business by Design report
• High Value Manufacturing
• The Aerospace Sector
• The Automotive Sector

These reports have already had a significant impact on policy and business thinking in the UK and beyond, and we aim to enable others to realise the benefits and added value of design.

Building on this legacy, in 2017 Design Council will be undertaking an ambitious research project looking at the growing phenomenon of 'design-led innovation' across the economy. Our aim is to better understand the factors which foster design-led innovation, and measure these spatially.

We want to know which areas of the UK are using design to innovate and those who need further support. We believe such insights are essential if the government is to truly realise its ambitions for a competitive, high skilled and geographically balanced economy.
