Prince Philip, a true champion of design
Our thoughts are with Her Majesty the Queen and her family as we all mourn the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
From 1959-2011 the Prince Philip Designers Prize celebrated how designers improve daily life by solving problems and turning great ideas into commercial reality. Prince Philip created this prize and chaired the judging panel, choosing a winner based on the quality, originality and commercial success of their work, and the designer’s overall contribution to the standing of design, and to design education. He was a true champion of design and we mourn his loss.
