Art on Air: Culture on the edge of London
This week Victoria Lee was invited on Art on Air, hosted by Tate.
The session focused on 'culture on the edge' of London. It highlighted that cultural activities are promoted more and more alongside urban development projects in outer London. Long term stewards of these places - local authorities, developers and other - are prioritising culture by creating roles within organisations specifically for this purpose. As the population in outer London is increasing at a rapid pace and as these places are densifying, the interface between the individuals carrying out these roles and communities becomes wider and stronger.
