Sure Start children’s centres: A post-occupancy evaluation

Children’s centres are crucial to the government’s 10 year strategy for childcare. The government is funding 3,500 new Sure Start children’s centres by 2010 in support of its ambitious plans to give pre-school children the best possible start.

We want centres to be accessible, welcoming, flexible, inspirational spaces. This post-occupancy evaluation by CABE for the Department of Children, Schools and Families presents the views of parents, staff and design professionals on the new facilities.
