Chris Hildrey

Chris is an architect and designer based in London. He is the director of Hildrey Studio and the founder of ProxyAddress, a social enterprise providing those facing homelessness with stable address details to access critical services. He is also an associate lecturer at Goldsmiths' Department of Design and a trustee of the Museum of Architecture.

His work has been awarded the RIBA President's Medal for Research, the D&AD Award for Humanitarian Aid, the Innovation in Politics Award for Human Rights, and was named one of the Beazley Designs of the Year 2019, one of the Guardian's Best Designs of 2022, and one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions of 2021. He has spoken about the role of design in creating positive social change on television, on the radio, in Parliament, and as far afield as the Guggenheim New York. His work is held in the permanent collections of both the V&A and the Design Museum. Outside of work, Chris enjoys running, photography, and spending time with his family.
