Joseph Shaffery

For the last decade, Joseph has been helping designers and design teams come together, grow, and deliver user-centered solutions. Over the past 20 years, Joseph has worked in digital design across various industries, including financial services, automotive mobility, architectural engineering, and central government. His experience spans startups to FTSE 100 corporations and both the private and public sectors.

Starting off as a UX (user experience) designer, he has gone on to build and lead multidisciplinary design teams. Joseph taught at Pearson College London, teaching Agile and design principles as part of the Business Management degree. He now offers his expertise as a consultant supporting design Communities of Practice, design teams, and individuals.

Joseph is an award-winning nature photographer with photographs placed in a number of competitions, one earning him an RHS medal for his forest photography portfolio. He enjoys running and is an ambassador for the Vienna City Marathon. Joseph brings his love for the natural world home, where he attracts and nurtures wildlife in and around his home in Staffordshire, which he shares with his partner Rebecca.
