Katee Hui
Katee is a strategist and sustainability expert with 15+ years of experience working across Asia, Europe, and North America. She has an MSc from the London School of Economics in Environmental Policy and Regulation and has focused her career on the intersection of sustainability, communication, and advocacy.
Formerly an Associate Partner at Pentagram and Strategy Director at several international agencies, her work focuses on using design and creativity to create impact. She has also spent time client-side working for Sainsbury’s in Corporate Social Responsibility. Katee regularly speaks at universities and conferences on brand purpose and ways of embedding sustainability into organizations and systems.
A social entrepreneur at heart, she brings design thinking into the two non-profits she’s founded: Hackney Laces Community Club, a football community for girls and women and Progress Press, a publishing house that is a space for stories of lived experience, devising an accessible editorial process for first-time authors.
In the King’s Birthday Honours List 2023, Katee was awarded an MBE for Services to Young Women and East London. She was named one of the Top 100 Changemakers in the UK by the Big Issue (2019); BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year for London’s Unsung Hero Category (2018) and a Point of Light by the Prime Minister (2015). Katee is a Fellow at the Royal Society of the Arts and a mentor at Bethnal Green Ventures
