Lynne is an experienced sustainable built environment and corporate sustainability technical expert. Her current role is Director of Environmental Sustainability at Hertfordshire County Council, a role which encompasses developing and managing the delivery programme for the sustainability ambitions and targets set by the council in its Sustainable Hertfordshire Strategy and overseeing the environmental expert service which provides technical landscape, ecology, archaeology, and design sustainability support for local planning authorities in the county.

She has a considerable breadth of experience and has provided impartial expert advice to various infrastructure bodies and place-based design review panels through her continuing role as a Design Expert for the Design Council. Her previous roles include Global Head of Sustainability for Parsons Brinckerhoff (later WSP) with a focus on creating tools to improve decision-making for sustainability and on corporate sustainability strategy and as the Chair of the Construction Industry Council’s DQI (Design Quality Indicator) process. Lynne has advised on iconic developments such as the 2012 London Olympics Athletes Village. She is an experienced facilitator and has significant experience in collaborative design and community planning.
