Lynne Sullivan
Lynne Sullivan is an Architect and co-founded sustainableBYdesign, finalists in three BRE-sponsored UK Passivhaus prototype competitions and consultants for Energiesprong’s prototype development for Willmott Dixon. Previously, Lynne was Sustainability Director at Broadway Malyan, where she was Project Architect for the UK house for the Malmo Housing Expo and for 10 years was Associate Director at ECD Architects. She was Project Architect for Royal Holloway College’s International Building, winner of RIBA’s Regional Design Award, and co-author and winner of the UK’s first government-sponsored Zero CO2 housing competition.
In the last decade, she chaired RIBA’s Sustainable Futures Committee and was appointed RIBA Climate Change Ambassador, representing them at COP21 in Paris. Lynne is now a design consultant, RIBA Competitions Design Advisor, Visiting Professor, and industry Board member, including as founder and Board Chair of the National Retrofit Hub; Chair of the Jersey Architecture Commission, Vice Chair of Cambridge Quality Panel, and design review panel member of the Design Commission for Wales. She has authored and chairs policy review and research projects for UK governments, including as Chair and co-author of the Scottish Government’s Expert Panel for “A Low Carbon Building Standards Strategy for Scotland” and of the 2030 Buildings Mission Taskgroup for CLC’s Green Construction Board.
