Natasha Trotman
Natasha Trotman is an Equalities Designer and Researcher whose practice explores extending the frontiers of knowledge around neurodivergence and cognitive difference (inclusive of acquired neurodivergence), including non-typical ways of being bodyminds, marginalized experiences, and reframing mainstream notions of equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This is done via an intersectional design lens involving the forming of physical interactions through therapeutic arts, investigative play, and policy design. Natasha has a Master's degree in Information Experience Design from the Royal College of Art and is a qualified therapeutic arts practitioner. Previously working as a Research Associate at The Royal College of Art's Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design (HHCD), as well as at The Wellcome Collection Hub on the Wellcome Trust and HHCD Design and The Mind Research 2-year project, focused on engagement and co-creation with neurodiverse and disabled people. Natasha is an Advisory Board Member for The DisOrdinary Architecture Project; a British Council Arts and Creative Economy Advisory Group Member; a NASA Aeronautics Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Practitioner; and a consultant for Wellcome, one of the Co-Designers and Developers for Wellcome's Social Justice Curriculum. She is also a Co-production Matters Strategic Implementation Panel Member (pan-disability neurodiversity) for Local Government and sits on a local authority Inclusive Design Review Panel.
