Paul Foulkes-Arellano
Paul has spent almost four decades working in industrial design and innovation, specializing in sustainable innovation for global businesses. He is the co-author of “Materials & Sustainability: Building a Circular Future” (Routledge). Paul runs Circuthon Consulting, a circular economy consultancy offering training and coaching to aid business leaders in the transition to a circular economy model. The focus is on executing circularity.
His areas of expertise are raw materials, food & beverage, apparel, and footwear. His particular focus is NextGen fibre recycling, composting, biomaterials, and new material development. Much of his work is mentoring businesses in the supply chain and disposal chain, including reuse and novel materials. He holds several non-exec and advisory roles, notably at Sparxell (metallic pigments for industrial applications made from plant materials) and ReStalk (non-tree fibre tech for bioeconomy businesses).
He has been a guest lecturer on the Design Management Masters course at the University of Southampton, England, and contributed to the executive education program of The Centre for Business Climate Change and Sustainability at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
