Peter Maxwell
Peter is a client and project director who has led the implementation of major capital schemes. His extensive experience includes design management and the delivery of master planning and complex building projects from start to completion. These have been within regeneration, housing, public transport, healthcare, education, arts, and cultural sectors for the private, local, and central government sectors over the last 20 years.
This includes his role as the Director of Design for the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) for ten years, leading the architecture, master planning, and public realm for the redevelopment of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This includes the creation of seven mixed-use neighborhoods totaling 5000 homes and East Bank, the UK’s largest new cultural and education district, which includes new public buildings for the BBC, Sadler’s Wells, University of the Arts, and V&A.
Peter holds advisory positions as a member of the National Infrastructure Commission’s Design Group and as an independent design panel member for High-Speed Rail 2 since 2015. He has held a non-executive directorship for Lampton Homes, London Borough of Hounslow’s wholly-owned housing company, and he is the Chair of the Quality Review Panel for Harlow and Gilston Garden Town since 2018. Peter is a chartered architect, town planner, and surveyor.
