Tom Castle
Tom is a Strategy Consultant with over 20 years of experience guiding organisations through design-led digital transformations. He has a broad range of skills covering digital strategy and product management, service design, speculative futures, and agile leadership. Recently, his work has included advising organisations on the implications of AI and helping them implement strategies for its safe, ethical, human-centred use.
He brings together a wide range of methods to help organisations across public, private, and the third sector create visions for a better future and then turn these into practical plans of action, coaching, advising, and leading transformation efforts. Tom is an award-winning futurist, winning a Service Design Network and Core77 Design awards for his work with the Wales Council for Voluntary Action on the future of volunteering and has published work on the use of speculative design in strategy formulation.
He has an MBA with a focus on business strategy from Warwick Business School and a BEng in Electronic Engineering. Tom is on the Programme Advisory Committee for Hyper Island - a higher education provider with a focus on digital skills and transformation learning. He also delivers course content on agile prototyping and speculative design and supervises Masters students undertaking their final course thesis. He is also a Governor at a local Secondary School in South East London, where he provides guidance on the use of digital technologies.
